This policy explains what personal data Dualis collects through this website, why, and what your rights are.

Who we are

Dualis is a trade compliance business operating from the United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy and the United States. Until the company is incorporated, the data controller is its founders, trading as Dualis. Contact: hello@dualistrade.com.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, company, work email and the message you send.
• Free export control assessment: your name, role, company, email, optional phone number, and your answers to the fifteen questions.
• Email: anything you send us at our addresses.

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies on this site. See the cookie notice.

Why we collect it and on what basis

• To answer your enquiry and, where you ask for it, to prepare your assessment. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
• To contact you about your enquiry or assessment. We do not add you to a marketing list without asking.

Who sees it

The Dualis team and, where a project needs them, specialists we bring in under confidentiality terms. Our form provider and email provider process the data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data.

Where it is stored and for how long

Enquiry and assessment data is held in the UK or EU, or with providers that offer equivalent safeguards. We keep it for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for up to two years afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case client records apply.

Controlled technical data

Please do not send controlled technical data through this website. If an engagement requires it, we agree in writing where it is stored, who can access it and which tools may be used before anything is transferred.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or complain to a supervisory authority: the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or the Data Protection Authority in Belgium. Email hello@dualistrade.com to exercise any of these.
